The difference in bandwidth between the fastest and the slowest one was quite small, especially considering that prices differ significantly (in tests with 512 MB files the highest speed is 920 Mbps, and the lowest is 901 Mbps, in tests with small files – 148 Mbit / s against 138 Mbit / s, in tests with a maximum load on ports – 2800 Mbit / s and 2500 Mbit / s). Our TP-Link TL-SG1005D V6.0 5-Port Gigabit Desktop-Switch switch was in the top ten in all performance tests.
In terms of price, performance and power consumption, the leader of tests is TP-LINK TL-SG1005D.

Buyers were satisfied with the high speed and reliability of the device and its low price. According to user measurements, with a distance of 30 meters from the computer, the switch worked at a speed of 70-80 megabytes / sec.
Among the main disadvantages, buyers noted the unpleasant high-frequency sounds that the power supply unit of a network switch makes. Among the negative reviews, also met the review from the buyer, whose switch stopped working in Gigabit mode after 10 months and only worked on 100Mbit.
Nice design, excellent performance!

Model: 5 Port Gigabit
I had purchased four of these about 8 months ago to use throughout the house where I needed to connect devices via Ethernet and they have served their purpose extremely well. I recently added a Fire TV to one of the TVs in the house and wanted to connect the Fire TV to Ethernet but I was out of available ports on my router near the TV. I did not hesitate to purchase another of these Gigabit switches. It is easy to setup, there is nothing to configure. Getting the full speed of my internet service now on my Fire TV.
I will note that the switch I received is a little different that what is pictured on the Amazon product page and the other 4 that I had purchased previously. Current models being shipped by Amazon have only one light on the front of the unit for power. The lights for each LAN port have been moved to the back just above where the Ethernet cable plugs into the port. TP-Link is still using the same model number for this switch, but it is now version 8. The pictures with the port lights on the front of the unit are version 7 of this switch. The performance of the unit is still excellent no matter which version you have. Definitely recommended if you need additional Ethernet ports in your home.

So far so good. Switch works as advertised but I was a little miffed that the picture in the product catalog does not match what I received in the box. Seems like TP Link has removed the individual status lights of each connection in favor of just one power light. A bit of a misrepresentation and false advertisement if you ask me. It’s probably a way to cut costs, but the product page should be updated with this lack of feature.
