Despite its size, the board belongs to the overclocker class and if there is good cooling in the case (the manufacturer has taken care of the appropriate connectors), the RAM can be overclocked to sufficiently high values.

I purchased this board to go into an B NZXT Manta case, at the time of purchase there weren’t any reviews which generally I shy away from, but I took the plunge based on my positive experience with Asus in the past. Setup could not have gone smoother, with everything recognizing and posting first time. Memory was correctly read at its proper speed and the small overclock I did to my cpu was effortless. The motherboard has operated flawlessly and has been an overall dream to work with. It is beautifully manufactured and laid out, from the high quality M.2 heatsink (Totally necessary? Maybe not, but expertly executed in its design) to the amazingly easy to navigate and tweak, BIOS. Another huge bonus for me was the built in wifi and antenna. It’s small and unintrusive but also leaves nothing to be desired in the terms of internet speed or connectivity strength. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this motherboard. Coupled with my wireless keyboard/mouse, my PC requires only a monitor out cable and a power cable going into the back of it, making it easy to move and easy on the eyes as far as cable management goes.

I have tried many Linux distros trying to get Linux to install using this board. From what I understand it is a failing that some manufactures use the Microsoft ACPI specs and don’t follow the RFC. If running Linux, don’t buy this board! I bought mine from Newegg and wish I hadn’t now.
UPDATE: Linux kernel 4.18 supported the board and it is finally up and running with an AMD 2700x. I still get the ACPI errors on boot, but it is ignored buy Linux. My understanding is that Asus and many other MB manufactures design a lot of the ACPI to Microsoft OS standards and not RFC stated standards and Linux follows the RFC which is causing the initial issues. I gave it one more star since it “works” now. It is NOT ideal and I would return it in a second now but it is way to late for that.
I will also say that if you were to compile the Linux kernel like with a Gentoo build you might actually get better results, but I am not that patient.
