Alphacool Eisbaer LT240 CPU AiO-Wasserkhlung is a universal water cooling system for Intel and AMD processors, as well as for video cards with an additional water block from Alphacool.
The Alphacool’s radiator is completely copper, not aluminum, like the Enermax and many other models, and the company has made a significant improvement in heat dissipation.
Thanks to the split valve, cooler can be expanded by adding, for example, a video card, with Alphacool’s proprietary waterblock (purchased separately).

Another advantage of Water Cooling System from Alphacool is that it is easy installation: screw parts, pour liquid and good cooling for the processor and graphics card is ready! Kits and fasteners are neatly laid out in several bags with signatures, so that the user does not have to compare with the picture what is what and he can immediately use the fasteners for the desired system – AMD or Intel.
Hoses of Cooling system are very flexible and soft, made of PVC. Compared to Enermax’s products, the difference is huge, where the cables are quite rigid and difficult to bend during installation.

With the Alphacool Eisbaer LT, you get a high-performance compact water cooling system that’s barely inferior to its bigger brother, the Eisbaer AIO.
Just like the Eisbaer, the Eisbaer LT distinguishes itself from the usual AIO mix in that Alphacool relied on normal custom components as much as possible during development. This allows the Eisbaer LT to be expanded on not just with the Eisbaer Ready quick connectors but also with connectors using standard G1/4” threads. These can be replaced with other models at any time. Another highlight is the new 25mm thin Slim Radiator, made entirely of copper. Since copper has twice the heat capacity of aluminium, optimal cooling is guaranteed.
Cooler and pump
The cooler bottom is made entirely of copper and has an ultra-fine cross slot structure. Thanks to those cross slots and a sophisticated nozzle system, heat is absorbed extremely fast and transferred away from the CPU. The built-in DC-LT Ultra Ceramic Low Noise pump is an extremely quiet pump that Alphacool has used in many products. The pump is much stronger than what you’d usually find in AIOs. It can also be throttled with the optional 7V adaptor, decreasing the already low noise generation even further. The pump casing is very flat and the aluminium cap gives it a clean, elegant look.
Alphacool relies on the standard DIY fittings you’d find in any standard water cooling system. Components are made entirely of high-quality brass and use a G1/4” thread. This means fittings can be exchanged easily, just like in a standard system. Maybe you want different tubing or want to switch over to HardTubes – your options are wide open.
The Eisbaer LT’s quick connectors make it compatible with all other Eisbaer Ready products, like the Eiswolf GPX-Pro cooler or the Eiswand external radiator. Both products use the same pump – perfect for quickly and easily expanding the cooling loop. Alternatively, you can use the Extension Set or Alphacool HF Quick Connectors (available separately) to integrate other components into the system.
The compact but standard 11/8mm tubing size was Alphacool’s go-to here. The tubing uses anti-kink springs in order to prevent kinks in the tubing. This makes it easy to lay tubing even in tight spaces, meaning the Eisbaer LT is easy to install even in compact cases.
Alphacool has integrated a brand-new 25mm-thin Ultra-Slim Radiator. Unlike most AIO systems, Alphacool’s radiator is not made of cheap aluminium, but rather high-quality copper. With twice the heat capacity, copper significantly increases the radiator’s cooling performance. This is especially noticeable when you reach the performance limits of a radiator. While temperatures in aluminium radiators progressively rise fairly early, copper radiators can keep the temperature stable for much longer.
The Eiswind fans were specially designed for use in radiators and provide very high static pressure to force cool air through the radiator’s cooling fins. Both fans can be regulated via PWM over an enormous range of 550 to 1700 RPM. A PWM Y-adapter is included with the Eisbaer LT, so both fans can be connected to a PWM connection on your motherboard or a separate fan controller.
At first glance, the Eisbaer LT looks like a typical CPU AIO solution, but a closer look elevates the Eisbaer LT far above the competition. Thanks to its copper radiator and cooling block, its cooling power is enormous, and the quick connectors and custom water cooling components make it easy to expand on. On top of that, you have product options that can connect to the Eisbaer LT without needing to be refilled at all – such as external radiators, prefilled radiators, and graphics card coolers. The portfolio is constantly expanding.
Buyers were satisfied with the quality of materials, quiet operation of the pump even under load, ease of installation and a complete set with all the necessary mounts for Intel and AMD. One of the main features is copper radiator, which has several times higher efficiency than the aluminum version. Also, the users were pleased with the flexibility of the hosepipes and the possibility of replacing the pump elements on their own.
Water cooling system works fine, for example, in a configuration such as the Intel Core i7 4790k (4.6 Mhz) in the Cooler Master H500P Mesh computer case. In this case, in simple programs processor was heated not higher than 30 degrees, in idle time – under 25, and under load (in the 7-minute stress test of AIDA utilities) heat was not more than 72 degrees.
The disadvantages that some buyers noted is the lack of illumination. However, the popular NZXT water-cooled systems with backlighting are more expensive, and whether they surpass the german Alphacool system is a big question.
A little advice from customers: The three-section version of the same model in some stores is not much more expensive than this two-section, but it cools better.

First, this is a fantastic, well-built cooler. It is essentially a custom built 240mm AIO that is meant to be sold similarly to others in the market, akin to the Corsair H100i and the Kraken x52. It fits all recent mobos, including Intel and AMD.
-This is REALLY CUSTOMIZABLE, flexible for expansion using your own tubing in the future from the pump included – it can power a larger loop for sure.
-The LED is AWESOME, the OCOOL (alphacool) lights up blue and fits my system’s theme perfect. Additionally, the reservoir on the pump combo lights up, so you can see the coolant in there.
-Tubing BENDS A LOT W/ NO KINKS. I have this on my MINI-ITX, and while trying to fit test fit it in the system I put a lot of stress on the tubing. It withstood it in grand fashion, and the coils around the tubing really work.
-Quick-disconnect part allows for expansion, as well as moving the tubing criss-cross to fit your case better.
-My INTEL i7-6700K @ 4.5Ghz idles at 28-30C, and under really heavy load of Handbrake Encoding of Full HD files the MAX TEMP I ever saw was 88C. Keep in mind, the system has only one intake fan – through the GPU radiator. There is no other intakes, and the 240mm are the only exhaust for the system. (Realistically, normal spikes on desktop go to max 50C, and gaming on GTA V and opening about 600 Browser tabs yield ~60C s)
-While it did fit in my MINI-ITX Corsair 250D, the fact that the quick-disconnect is to close to the pump-end of one of the tubings means the overall bend radius for the whole setup is not quite what it could be. I wish it were located a bit closer to the mid section of the tubing
-The mounting setup for attaching the block to the mobo is a bit cumbersome. Alphacool should work on a simpler snap solution, while retaining the quality and firmness of this finished mounts
-It came with its own thermal past. However, it should have come in a tubing rather than a bag I had to cut. Additionally, too much came in, and ironically when I decided to remove the block and replace the thermal paste the mid-portion of the die had little past there. It spread elsewhere, and the center of the CPU was left blank.
-Black tubing means no way to see any air bubbles. I recommend running this loop outside the finished system or case BEFORE installing everything else, just to check if it all works properly.
-This is one of the best coolers AIO in the market. I’m sure if I put this as an intake OR in a system that has more plentyful and better airflow, the temperatures would be really low (probably wold not break 70C on handbrake testing). Nonetheless, the 30cm thick radiator + the EXTREMELY SILENT and gorgeous pump/reservoir combo fits in most cases, and works similarly to much more expensive coolers (Like the EK Predator 240, plus this quick-disconnect system here is higher quality).
I recommend you buy this as a future proof solution for your system cooling. The fill port allows you to, over time, fix any evaporation of coolant, and completely replace it if you want something of a different color or transparency – or UV reactive! Make sure you have the height clearance, and obviously your case has at least 55CM of clearance for the radiator+fans – which the Corsair 250D mini-itx has.
I WILL SAY THIS: THE PRICE HERE ON AMAZON IS ABSURD! SERIOUSLY, $139+TAXES = 153 FRICKING DOLLARS! This should retail for just $130.

Pump started rattling after a few weks of use.

It worked great for a few weeks, then the pump started making a rattling sound. I’m afraid it’s going to die soon.
*UPDATE – Upon reflection, I was very happy with this AIO. The fact that they use a copper radiator is a big plus, as most AIO’s combine a copper plate, with an aluminum radiator. This can cause issues due to dissimilar metals reacting with each other. When I removed the unit to replace it, I noticed a large air bubble in the pump/reservoir. Since it wasn’t there when I first installed it, I’m guessing it was either in the radiator and made its way into the pump, or there was water loss at some point. I didn’t see any signs of leakage, but my guess is that this is the reason the pump started rattling.
